I'm alive and well!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Okay let's just cut straight to the updates.

MY WEDDING DRESS CAME IN AND THANK THE LORD ALMIGHTY IT FITS! I went with a dress like.... 4 sizes smaller than what the seamstress recommended and I'm glad I did because it fits and might even be a touch too big in certain areas. TAKE THAT TURKISH SEAMSTRESS! I think I'm only allowed room for ten more pounds of weight loss -- any more than that and I think I'll have to make major alterations. But the important thing is, the dress fits. And I love it!!!!

As of March 26th, I am officially a REGISTERED NURSE! Check it out y'all!

Thank you Delaware.

Gina, R.N. Ready for duty!

An oldie. But goodie. Nurse Gina -- in action!

Okay, this is obviously me giving CPR -- in style. :P
So yes, one hurdle down, two more to go! (GREs and the Canadian Boards!)

Back to wedding updates:
Invitations have gone out and RSVPs have been flooding in! Now I know that I can't expect EVERYONE to remember to RSVP on time so I'm going to wait until the beginning of May before I start stalking all those non-replyers. Le sigh. Not looking forward to it.

My bridal shower is set for APRIL 14th! My bridesmaids have been scheming away behind my back and I cannot WAIT to see what they've hatched up for me! I already got my invitation in the mail and it was everything I dreamed of and more! I believe the theme for the shower is French Boudoir. So. Freaking. Me. My girls know me so well. :P

The bachelorette party will take place July 14th, in Atlantic City, New Jersey and I am SOOOO looking forward to a spa/beach day and then partying the night away with my ladies! It'll be good to come back and see everybody before the wedding!

SO I OFFICIALLY SHIP OUT IN LIKE THREE WEEKS!!! AGHHH!!!!! It's been such a whirlwind year so far and I can't believe I'm so close to leaving the east coast! I'm ready for it though. The current tentative plan of action is to DRIVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY with my girls, Grace and Shirin. Quarter-life crisis roadtrip! Hollerrrr!!! We're thinking about taking 10 days to hit up Chicago, random cities in the middle that no one ever thinks about going to, Yellowstone, Portland, and then shimmy our way up to Seattle where we will part ways. I'm super stoked and I know that there will be TONS of planning required but I'm ready to take on the challenge and hope that everything works out for the best! I'll keep you all posted on the deets!

Brian and Mama Gregg are coming out to spend Easter on the east side! They'll be flying in on Saturday and then the plans for the next week include a trip to Amish town in Pennsylvania, NYC for a couple of days, Baltimore, and then DC. I know. It's gonna be a crazy ass week.

Meanwhile, Brian and I are still looking into the music details of our wedding. We're probably going to go with some basic party DJ who can't possibly f-up playing a list of songs over the speaker but we're also trying to incorporate some live music into the mix.... possibly during dinner time and for the first dances? I've been seriously loving this particular group Side One. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Okay I think I've covered all the important, major news/updates. Now that I've passed the boards and have only one job (I had to quit my hospital job at Christiana because you can't extern there once you pass the boards), I'm going to strive to blog more! I have tons more to write about!

Love you all!

All work and no play makes Gina a sh*tty blogger...

My deepest apologies. I've been working like a mule because I'm so desperate to start ordering and shipping out invites!

I pretty much hated the sample invites that came in through via Wedding Paper Divas so I've moved on to some Etsy vendors that sell some BEAUTIFUL invitations (at least, that's how they seem online). I've ordered a few samples so hopefully they'll be in my eager little paws sometime next week.

As for my wedding dress search, I tried on some more gowns at Jennifer's Bridal Boutique here in Delaware and really found one Pronovias gown quite stunning. But alas, my heart thinks that it's not the one for a few reasons. Number one: it's totally not a traditional gown (which is what I personally like about it) but I don't think my parents nor Brian would be impressed by it. IN ADDITION. Let's just say feathers are difficult to pull off on a wedding dress. And I'll just leave it at that.

I'm really excited about an upcoming appointment I made at a boutique in Pennsylvania for Tuesday. I think I'll like a lot of the dresses they carry but we'll see when I get there! Keep your fingers crossed!

Okay I know I could blog on about a million more things that are going in my life but quite frankly I am just pooooooooped. I worked a 7am to 3:30pm shift at the hospital and then went straight to Cigna and worked until 8:30pm. So yes. It was a long day. Plus I have a raging headache (which I NEVER EVER get). It hurts to blink. :(

So this little lady is hitting the sack.

Updates to come when I can freakin' catch a break!

Warning: Bitchy rant ahead.

What a god-awful week it was. Like honestly. I totally could relate to the people who go on those random shooting sprees in public places. That's how bad it was.

Here I list my reasons as to why:

- I was overworked.
- I was sleep deprived.
- People be crampin' my style.
- PEOPLE BE CRAMPIN' MY STYLE.

Okay so this week was my first official week of clinicals at the hospital which wasn't bad at all. It was a 1:30pm to 9:30pm shift Wed, Thurs, Friday on the maternity floor. It was easy-peezy. Clinicals didn't add much stress to my day except elongate my stay at the hospital.

Working on the pulmonary floor which particular persons is what sucks beyond words (Well I will attempt to describe it anyways).

This week I worked an 8 hour shift on Sunday and Tuesday and then proceeded to work 4.5 hour shifts Wed, Thurs, and Friday. That's right. So on Wed, Thurs, and Friday I was scheduled to be at the hospital from 7am to 9:30pm because of clinicals. Lucky for me, clinicals ended an hour early on two of those days so I got to go home around 8:30pm. Needless to say, it wasn't easy. And I'm an idiot for scheduling myself that way. Never again.

Anyways, in my last post I sounded like my usual cheery and enthusiastic self about my new position and how I was absorbing knowledge like a sponge and how everyone was great and nice and sweet and smelled like daffodils, etc.

Well let me amend and update some of those statements.

A particular SOMEONE who I will call "JEMIMA ON CRACK" has single-handedly unleashed my inner rage. Jemima was assigned to be my trainer on Tuesday and from what I heard from other employees, she was a trip. No one would go into any details but one statement made was "If she's still working here, then don't worry about getting fired." I assumed that this meant that Jemima was a lazy worker. That was fine. I could deal with that. I could be lazy myself at times.

Tuesday came along and I was already off to a rough start. I clocked in two minutes late. Crap. You're only allowed to be late 3 times before the hospital fires your ass so I wasn't too ecstatic about it. Anyways, I met up with Jemima and she was nice enough. She told me to start getting vital signs and go around checking blood sugars which I did. I got the feeling that she was gonna make me do all the work which was fine since I wanted to try to be on my own more anyways. But every time I came out of the room, Jemima had a new task for me:

"Room 7 needs his sheets changed. He just soiled himself."
"Room 10 needs ice water."
"Room 11 needs to be turned to his right side."
"Room 2 needs to be bathed."
"Room 4 needs a bedpan."

And what did Jemima do? She just sat the the nurse's station chatting away with the other staff. I was a bit annoyed at being her perpetual gopher but I took it in stride and stayed on my toes. During lunch, one of the patients had to be fed. He was one of my faves (we'll call him Mr. Wilson). Mr. Wilson is a sweet 87 year old man who suffers from expressive aphasia (which means he can't talk) and he communicates by signaling thumbs up for yes/good or thumbs down for no/bad. He's the cutest thing ever and I loved going in there and sitting with him. Anyways, I was in there feeding him his soft/liquid diet when Jemima comes storming in the room. She says "What are you doing? There's a million things needed out there. Someone just pee'd themselves and needs to get changed." I reply "I'm feeding Mr. Wilson. He can't feed himself and he has to take it slow because he has swallowing issues. I'll be out there in a few minutes. We're almost done." And can you believe what Jemima does? She storms over and yanks the spoon out of my hand and says that we don't have time to be feeding every damn patient that can't help themselves and we for damn sure can't be giving them a hundred tiny bites. She spoons up a massive scoop of oatmeal and shoves it into Mr. Wilson's mouth. I swear to god, even before he has a chance to get it down, she spoons up another massive scoop and shoves it into Mr. Wilson's mouth. OF COURSE, he begins to choke and cough. His eyes bulge and he tries to lean forward. Jemima tells me to get up and grab a wash cloth and that she'll handle feeding him herself. I am reaaaallllly starting to dislike this woman now. When I bring over her washcloth I try to tell Mr. Wilson that I'll be back in a bit to check on him and Jemima swats me away saying that there is a person that needs to be changed and that we're not here to socialize.

Okay deep breath here. This lady obviously has been working as a tech way too long (She's been doing it for 15 years). I figure that I'm just going to have to suck it up and survive the shift with this lady and I'll be on my own in no time so it's not a big deal. No use in starting drama.

Towards the end of the shift, I find out some HORRIBLE news. Jemima overheard me asking the clerk how to sign up for the remainder of my week's shifts and Jemima took the LIBERTY of helping my manager sign me up for the rest of my shifts. And guess who she assigned me to? That's right. Jemima assigned me to herself for TWO MORE SHIFTS. I wanted to die. This bitch was making me her freakin' slave for the rest of the week.

I'd like to say the rest of the week got better. But it didn't. The next day was WORSE. Jemima thought I was spending too much time in each patient's room so she began timing me. She timed my patient baths AND she decided that she was going to "REVAMP" every skill I had learned thus far. So she would stand over me and watch me take vital signs and blood sugars and apply lotions, etc. But Jemima would never just watch for long. Without fail she would find one reason or another to stop me and do it "HER WAY." She would have this STUPID saying: "Girl, you gotta work SMARTER, not HARDER." In other words, she would find some shortcut or other to make the skill get completed faster. For example. if a oxygen monitor wasn't found in the room and I would go attempt to get one, Jemima would shake her finger at me and say "Girl please, we don't have time for that nonsense. If it ain't in the room, we ain't gonna check it." Um HELLO? We're on a PULMONARY FLOOR. These people can't BREATHE. They have OXYGEN DEFICIENCY. WE SHOULD BE CHECKING THEIR OXYGENATION LEVELS REGULARLY. And by "regularly" I mean once every FOUR freakin' hours! Geez!

Ah. WOOOOOO-sah.

Okay. Now I understand everyone has his or her own way of doing things. I get that. But this lady is freakin' brutal. It's DEFINITELY her way or the highway. But she is a snake. She would try to be my best friend and pretend to be looking out for me. Jemima would constantly reassure me that she had my back. That was the worst part. Every chance she got she would pull me aside and say "Baby girl, let me tell you something. I hear what everyone says out here and they all be sayin' some things about you that ain't pretty. I don't know if you're gonna make it. So you just do what I tell you to do because I've been here a long time." Of course this stressed me out to the max. Like how the HELL is that reassuring??? So by the end of the second day, I was ready to snap. I decided to ask my manager whether or not what Jemima was telling me was true. Of course it wasn't. My manager gave me a wink and a smile and said that I had nothing to worry about and that they loved having me so far. She also told me that I shouldn't let Jemima get to me too much and that trainees had complained about her before so they were aware of how rough she could be.

What a relief.

After that, working with Jemima wasn't as bad. In fact, I began to feel sorry for her in my head. She had no clue what people said behind her back. I'm not saying that I'm perfect or that I know better than she does but I think everyone has a right to determine what works best for themselves and I'm going to do just that.

Anyways. I was pretty much on my own yesterday and the day went great. I didn't have too many patients so I was glad that I was able to ease into it. I work a four hour shift tomorrow and an 8 hour on Tuesday but I don't plan on cramming in anymore crazy 14 hour days. The stress is just not worth it. And it really isn't fair to the people I love around me. I haven't been the happiest gnome in the garden lately.

In non-WORK/SCHOOL related news:

News #1: My brother left for Australia and just confirmed that he's safe in Brisbane! That lucky dog! He plans on living the life out there for the next three months. I think his course of action includes trying to get a work permit in order to extend his stay out there but in the meantime, he's just going to enjoy the ride! I'm so happy and just a tinge jealous of him!

News #2: My sample wedding invitations came in the mail!!! They're really cute and I have 9 to choose from but I like them all so I might have to start a random poll. I'll put some pics up when I get the chance!

Here's to a better week! The best thing about weekends is that you can start all over with a clean slate and fresh mind! :D

Student Nurse Extern Extraordinaire!

So tonight was my third night on the pulmonary floor and so far it's been a blast/dirty job/learning experience.

I've taken care of a whole array of patients. You name it, I've probably cleaned their poop.

So far, it's been a pleasant orientation and I know for certain that I won't ever want to work on a GI disorder floor (No offense GI ailers). I had the pleasure of having more than a whiff of GI bleed bowel movements and geez LOO-EEEEEZE is it unlike anything I've ever encountered before. Anyways, let me stop myself before I am in breach of any privacy policies out there.

Most everyone on the unit has been gracious and generous with their knowledge and I am grateful to be on a floor full of a fairly younger crowd (meaning early to late 20s). I am still three shifts from being on my own but I'm pretty much getting the hang of things. The job is really not difficult at all and it's a matter of being able to prioritize your tasks. Pretty much like every other job out there.

I feel so welcomed!!!!

The best part of the job has to be the patient interactions. It's great to meet people that appreciate and need your help because it really makes me feel as if I'm doing some good in the world. Yes I'm getting paid to scrub your back but I also am wholeheartedly hoping to assist you in your recovery. It's probably the best feeling in the world knowing that you're brightening up someone's day just by offering to brush their bed matted hair or help them put on some makeup, etc. It's amazing to see how much the little things mean to patients, especially the ones that are admitted on the floor long-term. It's no wonder that the majority of hospitalized patients have comorbid depression and anxiety. I would HATE to have to be cooped up in a bed with sickly, dying patients all around me. Sometimes it's depressing just working there!

Since I'm still in training and paired up with another extern, it's easy for me to catch some extra social time with the patients. I'm sure this won't be the case once I'm on my own and having to take care of double the patients, but while I'm orienting, I will take full advantage of the extra time on my hands and work on the humane aspects of care such as engaging in genuine casual conversations with people. This seems to make almost any patient happy. Most people just want to know that you're really LISTENING to them and not just another item on a to-do list. I don't want to call any nurses out but I am 100% sure that I never want to be hospitalized EVER and if I ever am, I want a friend or family member to be with me at ALL TIMES. I'm talking like, NEVER LEAVE MY BEDSIDE. I understand nurses are busy and have a ton on their plate but honestly, a lot of the nurses I've watched seem to be a bit... too nonchalant. They've seen it all so nothing ever phases them, nothing ever incites them to immediate action, which is good sometimes but other times it just means that these nurses are going to take their sweet ol' time doing anything. Which sucks when you're a 90 year old man that just wants assistance getting to the toilet because he's going to crap his pants. I swear the average wait time between you pressing the call bell for assistance and you actually getting someone to step into your room is like.... 10 minutes! Yeah. Painful!

Anyways, that's enough of that rant. There are some really good nurses out there and I'm going to strive to be one of them. And that's all I got to say about that.

Gifts from a dear patient. I was so touched!
Anyways, I get a day of rest tomorrow and will spend it doing glorious NOTHINGNESS.

I love life. And am thankful for my health.

Bittersweet Moments in Life

I have officially completed my first round of clinicals.

Without killing a single soul.

It's a bit nervewracking to have to be responsible for a very sick person all by yourself for an entire eight hour shift but by golly I did it. For six weeks. Go me. And it wasn't always pretty. I've never seen so much stool and urine in my entire life. I'm officially a pro at cleaning feces and urine in under 5 minutes. Bring it onnnnnn.

Enemas? Totally not my cup of tea.

Anyways, today was our last day of clinicals and we had a little celebration with donuts and cookies and banana bread (Major yum) and we got our clinical instructor a group gift for putting up with our incompetent asses.

Observe.
Our patient and ever loving mother bird. Shelia.

Mother hen and her brood.

Plus me... lookin' like I'm straight off a Robinson Crusoe raft.
It was pretty exhausting but I think we all got the hang of things towards the end and I've definitely gotten a lot more comfortable in the hospital setting.

Which takes me to my next set of news......

I GOT THE JOB IN THE PULMONARY STEP DOWN UNIT!!!!!!

I am super stoked! It was my first choice unit and I've been trying to get a student nurse extern position for quite some time now. As an added bonus, I don't have to start until September 1st, which lets me enjoy the entire summer! (Oh happy day! Oh happy day! Oh happy dayyyyy!) This is pretty major because it will not only get some much needed experience onto my resume but also will significantly boost my chances of getting an RN job in intensive care and thus pave my way to grad school! Thank you Hay-zeus! Brian is pretty happy for me and he's been so encouraging and supportive during my interviews and application processes.... Couldn't have done it without cha babe! :)

Countdown to Vancouver -- 6 days!

Today I don't feel like doing anything.... I just wanna lay in my bed...

Good morning hardworking people of the world!

It's Thursday which means that it's officially the start of my weekend. Woo hoo!

Lesson learned this month: Waking up at 5 am is NOT good for my soul. I will never have a job that requires me to wake up this early. I'm totally tuckered out by 3pm! WTF! My BMR is in the negative numbers now. And all I wanna do is layyyyy....

...... which I'm totally planning on doing today! The weather has been 90's plus lately with overloads of sun so I'm heading out to my school's pool to just veg out poolside. To be completely honest, I'm sure I'll be going down the awesome water slides a few times as well, because it is the BOMB DIGGITY! You end up shooting out of these tubes at insane speeds with your bikini top around your neck and the wedgie of the century but MAN, is it FUN!!!! I eat about a gallon of chlorinated water every time I hit the waters but I'm starting to improve my form as I come out the chute. I used to fly out flailing like a squawking chicken but I'm beginning to hit the waters with more grace. Love being an adult kid.

Ahhhhhh summmerrrrrr. How I love thee.

While I've been walrusing about in bed this morning, I thought about my future plans in terms of work and graduate school. Brian and I have been talking about taking the GREs together and I am keen on getting back into the school world as soon as possible once I've completed about a year of working. I always hear that it's difficult to go back to school once you start making moolah and buying stuff with your moolah and suddenly having payments every month so I'm gonna try to keep myself on track and focused on the greater goal.

Here's the rundown of what I'm hoping my life will look like in for the next 3-5 years:
- Graduate with a BSN in February. Start looking for jobs, study for the NCLEX.
- Take US NCLEX by March. Relocate to Vancouver.
- Take Canadian NCLEX by April. Hopefully get a job.
- Work that job.
- Plan wedding.
- Wed by August.
- Apply to UBC's and UVic's Nurse Practitioner programs by November (I'd prefer UVic since the program is more flexible and tailored to people who want to continue to work part-time).
- Take additional GREs if necessary in October.
- Get accepted somewhere by March 2013.
- Begin 2-3 year program by August 2013.
- Have babies in 2016.

NICE. Have my whole life planned out now! Not too shabby for a lazy day. At least my mind has been put to work!

This weekend is going to be mind-blowing: sleepover tonight with my dearest and darlingest friend Yara, potluck on Friday, major girls' weekend starting early on Saturday morning, and.... 3 papers to write and an exam on Monday. Freakin' A. You can't have the good without the bad.

COUNTDOWN TO THE WEST SIDE: 12. days. EEK!

***************UPDATE********************

I GOT a SECOND INTERVIEW AT CHRISTIANA HOSPITAL!!!! WOO HOOO!

In my first choice unit -- ICU!

Monday, July 11th, 1pm determines my fate!

Wish me luck! :)

The Countdown Begins To our Trial Move-in!

It's official. Only 20 days left before I fly to Vancouver and Brian and I embark on our six week trial move-in.

To be perfectly honest, it shouldn't even be counted as a full six weeks since my mother will be out with us for one week and Jennie and Dan will be joining us for a week as well in addition to our time spent with Brian's family at Tie Lake. But we'll take whatever we can get.

I call it our "trial move-in" not because it will ultimately determine any sort of decision but because it will be the longest duration that we will have actually physically spent with each other and it will be a tentative indicator of how life really is with each other outside of the vacation times and Skype sessions.

I know that this may be shocking for most especially since Brian and I are already engaged and have committed the rest of our lives to each other but I've come to accept that life works in mysterious and unconventional ways. You may label us as being naive love-struck kids that are just trying to play house but I can't change the fact that Brian and I are in two different countries. Um yeah. It sucks that the man I love is a million miles away. It sucks that I only see him every other month. It sucks having to explain to people that I'm transcontinentally engaged. And it sucks when I get the raised eyebrows when I explain that I'm moving out there to marry him and be with him after approximately 2 years of dating (Most of which was over skype sessions). But I've learned to accept that people are going to have opinions no matter what the circumstances are. It's not my duty to convince people that yes, I actually have a stable committed relationship with a Canadian on the other side of the country. I love Brian and I'm following my heart. So go ahead and label me under the applicable "reckless young love" categories. We all got one life to live folks and I'm gonna live mine to the fullest, including chasing my hot studly stud of a man to the other side of continent! :)

I'm not saying that we have the perfect relationship; we have the same disagreements that every other couple has and I know that when I finally move out there in approximately nine months (Eeek!) I can expect that there are going to be lots of adjustments and just having to deal with the general pains and labors of getting used to being around someone so much. For myself, I am going to keep an open mind, maintain as much positivity as possible, and most importantly, remember how amazing my fiance is and how lucky of a girl I am to have someone like him in my life. It's all about the love people, all about the love.

I'm making it sound like us moving in together will be nothing but a period of turbulence and disagreements but really, who knows? It might be the greatest thing to have ever happened to me, especially considering the fact that Brian cooks and cleans so well (Tee hee!). I'd have clean clothes and delicious home-cooked meals on the regular. Considering the facts, I might turn out to be one happy geisha.

Okay so here's what the monthly sched looks like so far: It's another busy one!

- This weekend: It's "Our Country Kicked Your King's Ass" weekend here in the states so I'll be attending BBQs left and right! Bring on the grilled hotdogs, potato sack races, and horseshoe tosses!
- Next week: Another round of clinicals, school stuff and then off to a Girls' Weekend at the beach! My bridesmaid Jenn has a beachhouse down near Rehoboth and there will be approximately.... 7 of us? Looking forward to lots of laughter and all-night gossip seshes! It'll be our last summer hurrah before I ship out! :(
- The week of the 11th will be slightly stressful considering I'll be studying for final exams and writing papers and packing for six weeks worth. That Friday I'll hopefully be attending my first ever Polo Game! I'm earning my Yuppie Badge! Woo hoo!
- The week of the 18th: Final exam and fly out to be with my love! :)

Much to look forward to! It's gonna be a summer for the books!

Goooooooddd Morninggggggg Neverlandddddd!

Holy cow, internet world.

It's 9:30 pm and I have just risen from a 4 hour afternoon hibernation sesh. Talk about feeling like you're in the twilight zone.

But in my lazy bear defense, it's not just me. These early morning clinicals are seriously draining even though they really aren't too high stress. My girl Ashley who is in clinicals with me just texted me saying that she fell asleep at the pool. Anneliese who NEVER takes naps took two naps last week. I think all of our bodies are just in shock from waking up at 5AM.

For those unfamiliar with what "clinicals" are, they're semesters of in-hospital training days where you get assigned one or two actual patients on the floor and you are their sole care-provider for the day. Here's a snippet of what my day was like today:

- Haul ass to my unit because I am officially 7 minutes late at 6:37 am.
- Dash in to my patient's room to get her vital signs (Blood pressure, oxygenation levels, pulse, breaths per minute, etc).
- Patient needs more crackers, ginger ale, extra maple syrup
- Chart chart chart.
- Get nurse's report
- Review patient's history, consultations, allergies, etc, etc, etc. Nothing too unusual: history of depression, drinks a pint of alcohol a day, smokes a pack of cigarettes a day, schizophrenia, going through a messy divorce, lawyer found patient sitting in a pile of her own feces and called 911.
- Time to prep medications. My patient has 12.
- Time to give patient her bed bath and change her linens. She is not compliant and puts up a fight. I call for backup.
- My instructor goes in with me and pretty much says, "You're getting a bath whether you want it or not." You'd think the patient would enjoy the bed bath. It's pretty much a free sponge bath. You just have to lay there.
- I have a difficult time bathing this woman. She keeps falling asleep on me and I have to manually turn her 250 pound body. I'm sweating up a storm under my isolation gear and face mask (The patient is under isolation precautions because she has a bacterial infection that spreads rapidly and causes seriously loose stools).
- I change her out of her stool stained gown and realize she has a diaper-rash like irritation all over her lower flank and buttocks. Turns out she has a fungal infection.
- I cream up her affected area with some topical antifungals and change her sheets.
- Chart chart chart.
- Another round of medication administration
- Lunch time!
- After lunch, things aren't as busy and the day is pretty much over. I empty the patient's foley catheter, empty her nephrostomy bag (she had a kidney obstruction) and clear her IV lines.
- The patient complained of her pain being a 6 on a scale of 1-10 and so I gave her some percocets and it knocks her right out.
- I give my report to the nurse who is taking over after me.
- End of the day meeting with my clinical group and instructor to recap on how our shifts went, turn in our assignments.
- FREEDOM!!!

Never a dull moment in nursing. And tomorrow I get to do it all over again. Lucky for me, my weekends start on Thursdays so I'll be back to summertime shenanigans after tomorrow!
