Check this ISH out!

Dear Niecy Nash,

Thank you for changing my life with your out-of-this-world wedding shoes.

Not only are they maddeningly fabulous -- the designer is located in the one and only state of Delaware.

One-of-a-kind, custom created.

This is a SURE. THING.

Check out Glam-Luxe shoes.

My newest toy and FIVE more dresses!

Dude. I am totally converted.

I am obsessed with my new french press thermos (Thank you fabulous future sister-in-law).

So. Pretty.

Essential for my mornings at the hospital.
 Definite recommend.

So yes, I am back to my busy bee little self. I had an orientation this morning at a veterans' hospital for the psychiatric ward there and then I had the rare occasion of having the afternoon off so Anneliese and I decided to hit up a bridal boutique for some more dress try-ons! Yayyyy!

For your viewing pleasure:

I forgot the name of this brand but the company not in business anymore anyways.

A very popular Maggie Sottero dress.

Don't remember the brand but it was my first taffeta dress!

Such lovely details!

An older Maggie. Twas vintage-pretty.

Honestly. Mags has the BEST destination gowns!
I think this brings my dress count total to.... around 80ish? I've tried on a CRAPLOAD of dresses! HOLY MOLEY. I am still feeling like I haven't found "THE ONE" but just like the whole venue searching fiasco, I'm sure I'll cave at some point and pick a dress that I'm content with and slowly fall in love with it more and more as we get closer to the wedding date (I'm ECSTATIC about our Vancouver Art Gallery venue now!). All I have to do in the meantime is start saving up for my gown down payment!

Other exciting wedding news: The first wave of invitation samples are being sent to my house on Wednesday! SOOOOOOOOO looking forward to picking out the PERFECT invite and getting them out to my guests. Brian is working on the catering options and we've pretty much narrowed down our choices to two caterers (Culinary Capers and Savoury Chef). I'm leaving it up to Brian and Mama Gregg to do the tasting honors and determine which is better! Hopefully the menu will be setttled upon within the month and I will be able to get the invites out no later than November!!! We are well on our way! :)

Tomorrow will be GRUELING. I work the morning 7a to 3:30p shift at the hospital and then have to trudge on over to CIGNA for a few more hours. It's pretty much gonna be a minimum 12 hour work day. Whelps. Gotta start makin' that dough in order to supplement my painfully fabulous tastes!  Cheers to makin' that PAYPURR. Let it rain! :)

Eat Your Heart Out, Jessica Rabbit!

Holy Moley.

Seriously. I'm gaga over this Zuhair Murad dress.
This red dress makes me wish I was Chinese so I could incorporate a red dress into my wedding wardrobe. Curse my kimchi-infused veins!

He even has Japanese kimono inspired gowns!

I guess I could still swing it. People wouldn't know the difference, right? :)

Recent Wedding Obsessions

Obsession Number 1: Grace Ormonde's Wedding Blog

I picked up one of her magazines on our way to Bermuda and fell. in. love. Quite possibly my favorite wedding magazine EVER!

Obsession Number 2: Bridal Gowns with Sexy Backs

Example: Check out Cymbeline's sexy number.

Example: My first love - Pnina
Drool.

Obsession Number 3: Jetsetter Website

It's not REALLY a wedding website but if we do resort to a destination wedding option, this is where I would book the place! This website lists availabilities from the most beautiful rentals in the world. And the best part? They provide discount prices for their members! :)

Obsession Number 4: Chicken Salad Anything

This is random. I have been on an insane chicken salad kick. Not grilled chicken salad or fried chicken salad. I'm talking about the gushy yummy mayo-infused stuff. I've been scarfing five of these a week!

You. In my belly. Now.

Obsession Number 5: Cat Eye Glasses

Takin' it back to the 1950's secretaries era!

Lookin' good Edna.

Trendy.

Marilyn dug it.

Prada's new cat eye sunglassses. These will be mine.

The Dream Dress

The best part about wedding planning? Picking a dress!
As the intro, I'd like to first take a moment and pay tribute to the classics:

The ever so lovely Princess Di.

Jackie Kennedy's stylish gown.

Grace Kelly's unforgetable dress.
And of course, we must not forget...
Katie Price. Congrats on winning the worst wedding get up in history.
Okay so I know that Brian has previously mentioned that I have "outrageous" taste. I can't help that I'm like a raccoon and am drawn to bright and shiny things. I have no defense for the vomiting of sparkles and sequins you may be exposed to in this post. Prepare thyselves.

But before I razzle-dazzle you with my repertoire of dream dresses, I do want to mention my current dilemma: At first I was sure that I wanted the poofiest and biggest dress in the America. I mean, how often in your life time can you really wear a ball gown? However, during my research, I found so many beautiful and modern wedding dresses that were equally as glamourous. So classic ball gown? Or modern chic?

Without further ado, the Dream Collection:

Pnina Tornai. Bejweled corset ball gown.
Eve of Milady: For the royalty in me.
Pnina Tornai: For my shameful adoration of tulle.

Now for the more modern picks:

Reem Acra. Simple and elegant.
Sarah Seven: Chic and soft.
Sarah Seven: Angelic and ethereal.
And no wedding dress repertoire would be complete without a Vera Wang.
Vera Wang's Diana Dress
